Attention Republicans ... Rouge is the New Red!
When a book hits #1 a month before the publication date, you can bet people are paying attention. And when the author is Sarah Palin, the hottest name and most polarizing figure in politics today, spoofs are inevitable.
Indeed, Palin's memoir, Going Rogue: An American Life, has spawned more than one copycat literary offering, several of them entitled Going Rouge.
The tongue-in-cheek books include a 48-page coloring and activity book that features a paper doll, a book with nothing but blank pages subtitled "A Candid Look Inside the Mind of Political Conservative Sarah Palin" (get it?), and a serious collection of essays and articles edited by The Nation magazine. While the cover is a parody, the content itself is decidedly anti-Palin.
Whether you love or hate her, Sarah Palin is here to stay, and her message of less government and more freedom is resonating with millions of Americans.
Sarah Palin Served as the Ninth Governor of Alaska, from 2006 to 2009
Sarah Palin resigned as Governor on July 26, 2009, with a year and a half remaining in her four-year term. An aide was quoted as saying the Alaska Governor was "no longer able to do the job she had been elected to do. Essentially, the taxpayers were paying for Sarah to go to work every day and defend herself."
Folks, this government isn't too big to fail, it's too big to succeed.
Going Rouge: An American Nightmare
Responses to Sarah Palin's Bestseller, Going Rogue
The cover is a parody of hers and it certainly takes some shots and mocks Sarah Palin, but it is a very serious book and the book itself is not a parody. It is not at all intended as a joke or a parody.
The Sarah Palin Rogue Coloring & Activity Book
The 48-page Coloring Book Features a Paper Doll, Puzzles, Word Games, and Mazes
We wanted to show the real Sarah Palin, warts and all, who otherwise is just another slick, glossy PR machine invention. Those Palin books, they're just a buncha words -- ours has pictures!
Going Rogue: An American Life
by Sarah Palin
President Obama can try to gloss over the effects of government authorized end-of-life consultations, but ... it's all just more evidence that the Democratic legislative proposals will lead to health care rationing, and more evidence that the top-down plans of government bureaucrats will never result in real health care reform.

The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's "death panel" so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their "level of productivity in society," whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.
